Saying goodbye

I hate that it's taken me so long to update this, but things have been so very hectic... My Grandma is gone....still so surreal, and hard to even say. She is though, and there are so many things I wished I could have said to her, so many wonderful times I was hoping she would share with us all. I know that she will still be with me, in one way or another! I just miss her so much, and find it hard to accept that I will never hear her voice again.

I told her on Friday (July 3) that I loved her and would see her later. She said a few things to Wyatt, told him no matter what, always remember to love the Lord and she told Me she loved me, told Richard that she loved him...and that was the last time I would ever talk to my Grandma. Had I known then what I know now....I would have talked to her until my voice hurt.

Saturday afternoon, they moved her to Haven Hospice care center in Gainesville. She didn't wake up the entire time. She did rouse when a chaplain came in that night, and talked for a while with her and the others who were there. After that, she never woke again. She stayed unresponsive and asleep until Thursday morning, between 7:00 and 7:15am, when her Lord took her home.

I am however, grateful for the time that I did have with her, and the time that she had with Wyatt. I will tell him every day how much his Grandma loves him, and what a beautiful person she was.

I love her soooo very much.......
