Say it aint so

Can Thanksgiving really be just a week away?  It really doesn't seem like it's possible.  For one thing, it's too hot here in Florida for it to be holiday time.  It just doesn't seem right without a little nippppy air.  Alas, it is true though...Turkey day is just a mere 7 days 15hours 30minutes and 3seconds away.  Yes, I am serious....not even remotely kidding....I have a countdown timer on my desktop...I'm not smart enough in math to figure that one out on my own. It is correct though...and right around the corner is....Bueller...Bueller...Bueller.   That's right folks, don't look.....but Christmas is riding our butts as we speak. 

In a way I am so excited, because Wyatt will really have fun this year.  On the other hand, well, not so much.  It won't seem right at all without Grandma here.  This holiday season is going to be bitter sweet, so I have to make the best of it.  I'm going to try to change a few traditions, just to make our own, new ones.... and to hopefully give us a distraction!

So, I am busy planning menus and making shopping lists...which I really do enjoy.  Mom  a.k.a. BeckyLou, will be gracing us with her wonderful helpful presence next week.  I am so excited for her to have some extra time with the little man, and I'm sure he will really love it!

I don't have too many pictures ready to post.  I have to resize them and crap like that, but I do have a couple ready, and will be working on the rest...hopefully this afternoon.

Better late than never... (as usual)

Ginger (Richard's sister) and Byron had their second baby girl.  She gave her mommy a hard 9 months (pre-eclampsia, and higher risk for stroke...heart attack...and blod clots), but is finally here and worth the wait!

She is a tiny little girl, but that's what makes her so cute!
