Have you smiled today?

Just thought I would share these, Wyatt was just waking up from his nap this morning. Hopefully it will put a smile on everyone's face.

Doing what he does best!

Sunday night, I was in the middle of sorting and cleaning out my tupperware cabinet, when I got an unexpected helper.... SuperWy to the rescue!

Here I come to save the day~

His super hero alter-ego must have worn him out...because this was about an hour later while watching a movie. Meet the Robinsons, to be exact!

Night night WyMan!

Wyatt is a little water bug!

Last Saturday, Jamo came for the night after her orientation at VSU (sorry Jamo, if that's not right comment me with the right thing). We decided to go to the lake for a while. It was getting late, probably around 6:00, but we wanted to have some fun so went anyways.

Jamo swam with Wyatt for a while then we took him to the sand bar to take some pictures.

Needless to say.....he had a BLAST! Thanks Jamo!

Looks like we have a camera hog....

So, recently I was practicing with my new studio setup and decided to take some pictures of Wyatt just for the heck of it. The background is a little too girly, but hey... he was being a ham and we had a good time with it. Enjoy!

And....one of Piggie.... just for the heck of it.

And God said...

....let there be water! I have been riding the fence on weather or not Nancy's lake would come back up any time soon. I swore it would take a few monsoons and three category 5 hurricanes. Alas, my predictions were wrong. All it took was a week of torrential downpours and a lovely rain dance, (which if I ever showed you, I'd have to kill you.)

Nancy reported in on Sunday morning, asking if I could hear the water, because it was rushing in and there was even a little waterfall....where are we, the mountains? So we went out exploring later that afternoon.

The lake just before Nancy's is starting to fill up. She said it had even gotten higher since she went through there earlier that morning. Then, there it was...lo and behold....a waterfall! It was so fast a squirrel could have tubed down it.

Of course, it has a good ways to go before it reaches Nancy's pond, but hey...it's a start!

My little weight lifter

Wyatt had his 9 month check up on Monday. The Doctor just loves seeing him. He said that he's very strong, and said that he was like a mini weight lifter.

He is 29 inches long, weighs 23lbs 5oz, and his head is 17.5 inches. He should be eating 3 meals a day with 2 snacks in between, all stage 3 foods now. With the goal of eating nothing but table food by his first birthday. Which is when his next appointment will be set for.

They also told me that now is the time to set consistent discipline for him. Using a 2 minute "time-out" or something to that nature, when simply saying "no" doesn't work.

So, he's a healthy as an ox....way to go meeeee!!!!!!

Holy toofer Batman

First let me start off by saying this... Wyatt has been teething for quite some time now. I have been able to "feel" a tooth under his terribly swollen gummies. Some think I am a nut job because they can't see or feel anything. Others I think just agree with me to keep me quiet, which is understandable at times.

I hoe you can see in this picture that I finally am not the crazy Mom....he has a tooth!!! One lonely little toofer in there. No, it's not all the way in yet, but it's far enough that you can really see it now and definitely feel it.

Super-dooper close up!

Where does time go?

It seems like yesterday when he was totally helpless. So small and STATIONARY..... don't get me wrong. It's the cutest thing ever, watching him crawl and now, starting to pull himself up on the furniture. There are times however when I would love for him to just sit still.

Now mind you, if sesame street is on he will sit silently for almost a hour, which is ironic....since I SWORE that no child of mine would never love Elmo.

My baby* is 9 months old, and seeing that typed out in real life makes me cry. He will never really be my baby again. I will never be able to kiss him without holding him down (unless he's asleep), or hold him in one arm without being out of breath because he's so heavy.

* Who am I kidding?? I will probably always think of him as my baby even when he hits puberty!

Before you think that I'm being a negative Nelly...I have been thinking about the positives too. He can keep himself occupied now for at least 10 minutes, it's almost to the point where I don't have to carry him every where, and it has become so much fun playing with him (frankly, there are tons more, but I'm tired of typing).

The time has gone by so quick. I am already starting to plan his first birthday party...just 3 more months and he will be a year old. It doesn't seem possible...

So, without further adieu, here are pictures from my little man's 9 month birthday!!

Happy 9 months Wy-Man!
