In and out......

Ok, so it's been a long time since I last posted. Considering that Wyatt is 8 weeks old today, I figured that there was no time like the present to continue, right??? There is so much to tell, that it may take me a few days to get caught up...so bear with me!

I think I'll just start back in July. I was having my weekly appointments with Dr.Warner, and my blood pressure kept getting a little higher every time, the swelling was worse, and there was usually 2+ protien in my urine (which is not a good thing). I was getting pre-eclampsia. GREAT, just what I needed. So, I was put on bed rest. It was so hard to do....just sit around. Yack.

Skip ahead to August 18th, 37 weeks pregnant and counting. My BP was 169/97, and the baby wasn't moving very well. She sent me to labor and delivery to be monitored. I was hooked to a machine that took my BP every 20 minutes, and the machine that keeps track of the baby's heart beat and contractions...if there are any (there weren't). My BP came down enough to go home, and the baby looked fine. After 6 hours in there, we were free to go.

I tried my best over the next week to stay calm and off of my feet. Not an easy thing for me to do. I had places to go, people to see!!!

August 25.....38 weeks.....2 weeks to go. Had my appointment with Dr.W, and again, high BP and protein in my urine. I was sent back to L&D again. This time I was only there for about 4 hours. Everything was ok, and I was sent home with a 24 hour urine collection test. Basically, every time I had to go, I had to pee in a thing that looked like a hat, then pour it into another container and keep it in the refrigerator. It had to be returned after 24 hours, so Richard's Mom and I took it back to the hospital the following evening. They said it would be a day or two before we knew anything.
